I met Castelluccio through a passenger while working on cruise ships many years ago. He told me "if you like landscape photography you have to go to Castelluccio". And so I did. Castelluccio is famous for its valley cultivated mainly with lentils. The best period is from June to August and you can admire the most varied colors from above. Yellow, red, green, white and blue with a thousand shades. But my favorite season is winter. The snowfalls in this area are always quite abundant, up to over half a meter high. The whole valley, the mountains and the surrounding hills are tinged with a pure white in a succession of sinuous shapes.
