Landmannalaugar (part 2)
There are several craters in the Landmannalaugar area, some with lakes inside, others without. The most famous crater without a lake is certainly the Stútur crater.
One of the best-known crater lakes is Hnausapollur, which is easily accessible by taking a detour from the main road leading to the campsite.
Ljótipollur, often translated as "the ugly puddle," is a stunning volcanic crater. Despite its somewhat unflattering name, Ljótipollur is renowned for its breathtaking beaut

Landmannalaugar is a stunning area located in the Icelandic Highlands, renowned for its unique and diverse landscapes. Situated within the Fjallabak Nature Reserve, it is characterized by its colorful rhyolite mountains, geothermal hot springs, and expansive lava fields. The name "Landmannalaugar" translates to "the people's pools," a nod to the natural hot springs that have drawn visitors for centuries.
