Vík í Mýrdal, ofter simply referred to as Vík, is a picturesque village located on the southern coast of Iceland. Renowned for its stunning landscapes and dramatic coastal features, Vík is particularly famous for its black sand beaches, with Reynisfjara being the most notable.
The black beach at Reynisfjara is characterized by its striking black basalt sand, formed from volcanic activity, and is surrounded by impressive sea stacks known as Reynisdrangar.

Diamond Beach
Diamond Beach, or Jökulsárlón Beach, is a stunning natural wonder located near the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon on the South Coast of Iceland. This unique beach gets its name from the sparkling ice chunks that wash ashore from the lagoon, resembling diamonds scattered across the black volcanic sand. The contrast of the crystalline ice against the dark sand creates a breathtaking visual spectacle.
